Congrats to One Montana for winning the Trail Partner of the Year Award for leading the OUTSIDE KIND ALLIANCE.
The OK Alliance is on a mission to streamline trail etiquette messaging and education across user groups so that as the Valley grows, everyone understands how to take care of the trails. Today, One Montana, Gallatin Valley Land Trust, Bridger Ski Foundation, City of Bozeman, Friends of Hyalite, Queers & Camo, Run Dog Run – Bozeman, Southwest Montana Mountain Bike Association, Wild Montana, Winter Wildlands Alliance, Big Sky Wind Drinkers, The Big Sky Community Organization, and the United States Forest Service have joined OUTSIDE KIND to form a coalition of kindness and caring around our trails. More organizations are joining in every month.
Through One Montana’s funding, Outside Kind Alliance has grown into a brand with an educational website and paved the way for orgs like GVLT to develop recognizable “Hike Kind” messaging.
Their efforts and forward-thinking vision will ensure that all trails in the Valley are clean and cared for, that trail users greet each other with patience and compassion, and that Montanans new and old will adhere to a “code of conduct” when using local trails. Building trails is just the beginning. Caring for and stewarding trails is a community-sized commitment that takes thoughtful leadership. Thanks One Montana for leading the charge!
