Local Businesses: Be a Trails Hero!

Did you know this year marks the 10th anniversary of GVLT’s Summer Trails Challenge?

It all started back in 2016 as an idea to create a community-wide trails event that would be open to everyone, regardless of income, schedule, or fitness level. In that first year, trail users logged 20,000 miles to unlock a Sponsor Match Pool of $20,000 created by 28 local business partners. Thanks to the community’s love for trails, the event has continued to grow every year. Last summer alone, we raised $90,000 for our local trails from more than 50 business partners and unlocked that, dollar by dollar, as our community members logged more than 93,000 miles together!

This year, in honor of our 10th anniversary, we’re going bigger than ever—$100,000 raised and 100,000 miles logged. It’s an ambitious goal! We know our community members are up to the task of logging 100,000 miles, but first, we need more sponsors to get us to the start line. Please consider a business partnership with GVLT and help us protect the quality of life we all enjoy here in Southwest Montana.

The Summer Trails Challenge can create or enhance a culture of wellness within your company. Participants can log miles on behalf of any sponsor, encouraging your employees and customers to hit the trails! Plus, only sponsors can create teams to compete for the coveted Golden Boot and Silver Bike Seat awards and, better yet, bragging rights.

In addition to the opportunity to create a team, other business partner benefits (dependent on sponsor level) include…

  • Top billing on all event-related marketing

  • Featured as Partner of the Month in GVLT’s e-newsletter

  • Dedicated Summer Trails Challenge day named after your business

  • Listing in GVLT’s annual report

  • Logo and link to your website from the GVLT website

  • Social media business promotion

Why We’re a Business Partner

First-time sponsor Clearwater Credit Union explains why they choose to spend their marketing dollars supporting GVLT’s Summer Trails Challenge:

“We are dedicated to protecting Montana’s environment, and we live our values by investing time, money, and energy into actions that support sustainable communities, thriving landscapes, and conservation of land and wildlife. We know that connecting our neighbors to the outdoors doesn’t happen with only one person but instead from a collective effort among all our neighbors. This is why we are proud to support GVLT and the Summer Trails Challenge.”
