Small Yet Mighty

GVLT and the City of Bozeman have wrapped up work on a small yet mighty trail connection on the NE side of town. The Stockyard Connector Trail is .15 miles long but serves as an important connection between the Story Mill Spur Trail and the existing trail along Story Mill Rd. This connection is critical for safety, taking walkers and bicyclists off the road and onto the trail that will connect the NE side of town to the East Gallatin Recreation Area and Cherry River, and soon the new Story Mill Community Park and Path to the M. The small connection follows the west side of the road, past the Stockyard Cafe. Thanks to the City of Bozeman Public Works- Street Division for digging out the trail and to GVLT volunteers for helping to fill it in with fines. These small connections may be small but they are all puzzle pieces to a larger, connected, safe trail system.
