Bogert Park Improvements

Bogert Park is a hub of activity year round. Gallatin Valley residents enjoy weekly farmer’s markets, ice hockey, concerts, swimming, tennis and more.  The natural areas of this beautiful park are getting a face lift thanks to funding from the Trails, Open Space, and Parks Bond. GVLT has partnered with the City of Bozeman and others to reconstruct part of Bozeman Creek through Bogert Park , returning the stream to a more natural and ecologically productive condition.  There has been great progress through the fall and early winter. The City of Bozeman has completed the work to shape the stream back to a more natural shape. Additionally, contractors have finished the new bridge, designed by Intrinsik Architecture, leading from E. Koch St. into the park. It is open to the public so go check it out! More  work will be completed this spring to stabilize the bank and add riparian plants and landscaping.

As part of the Bogert Park project, GVLT is leading efforts to build new trails through the improved park. We plan to start trail construction in the spring of 2017.

We know that Bogert Park is a special place in our community. Once the improvements are done, the park will be an even better place for relaxation, exercise, kid’s play, and dipping your toes into Bozeman Creek.
