Gallatin Valley Conservation Partnership

Gallatin Valley Land Trust is proud to be the lead partner on the Gallatin Valley Conservation Partnership, a new program designed to safeguard the agricultural heritage, productive soils, and vital streams of the Gallatin Valley.

In 2015, the Natural Resources Conservation Service awarded $3.8M in funding to the Gallatin Valley Conservation Partnership, creating a new five-year funding pool for local conservation projects.

This funding will be used to develop conservation easements and implement stewardship projects on working farms and ranches with the goal of enhancing water quality, soil health, and water quantity in the Gallatin Valley.

Projects are given priority that are located within the focus area, contain prime or unique agricultural soils, and are near important waterways.
