planned giving

The future of our trails and open spaces will be built on today’s planned gifts. It takes all of us to keep GVLT’s promise of enduring protection of agricultural lands, fish and wildlife habitat, and trails and open space for generations to come.

SHARE your plans

If you have included GVLT in your estate plans, please let us know so we can welcome you as a member of the Lupine Legacy Society (see list of members below). Providing us with notice of your intention is the best way to ensure that your gift is used just as you wish. We can provide valuable information about a variety of options that you can then discuss with your professional advisors.

For all legal purposes, please refer to our organization as:
Gallatin Valley Land Trust, P.O. Box 7021, Bozeman, MT 59771
Tax ID#: 81-0464513

A gift through your will or trust is one of the most popular and flexible ways that you can support GVLT’s mission. For an unrestricted gift that allows GVLT to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs, use the following language for your will and/or trust:

"I give to GVLT, a nonprofit corporation located at P.O. Box 7021, Bozeman, MT 59771, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose."

To designate your provision for a particular purpose or restricted fund, please contact GVLT Director of Development Justin Barth to discuss your options.

A charitable gift annuity established with GVLT can provide you with a secure source of fixed payments for life. Contact us to learn more about how an annuity might work for you.

A beneficiary designation gift is a simple and affordable way to make a gift to support GVLT. You can designate us as a beneficiary of IRAs and retirement plans, donor-advised funds, investment or bank accounts, or your life insurance policy.

Start by requesting a change of beneficiary form from your policy administrator or download the form from your provider’s website. Return a copy of the form to GVLT to establish your intentions.

We welcome the opportunity to assist you as you create your clients’ philanthropic wishes into well-crafted estate plans. Please feel free to contact us directly for information or assistance on a confidential basis.
