Trails Project Manager

Lulu joined the Gallatin Valley Land Trust in May 2022. She grew up in Colorado and jumped across the states to attend college in Long Island - an eye-opening experience. She was first hooked on conservation and trail work when she applied for a service term as an New Hampshire Conservation Intern focusing on building trails with high school-aged students. With the strong desire to head back west, she joined the Montana Conservation Corps based out of Bozeman in 2010. From there, Lulu caught the trail bug and continued seasonal work on trails, as a wilderness ranger, and on a cabin crew for Yellowstone and Teton National Parks, as well as for the Forest Service in Bozeman and Livingston, Montana. Prior to accepting the position at GVLT, she worked at the Human Resource Development Council as a Youth Case Manager, advocating for and supporting young people in their transition into adulthood. Lulu spends her free time with her husband and their furry side-kick, Romeo, out on the dirt, rock and water trails.
