Development and Communications Coordinator
“Magic moments happen on local trails. I'm happy to put my skills to use at an organization that conserves valuable natural resources and develops safe spaces for people to play outside. ”
Hannah Overton is thrilled to join the GVLT family as the Development and Communications Coordinator. Hannah hails from Kansas City, Missouri, where she grew up devouring her grandparents' copies of National Geographic and Missouri Conservationist. In addition to the magazines, she also ate tons of BBQ. After earning a degree in communications from William Jewell College, Hannah spent a summer working in Yellowstone National Park where she first travelled to Bozeman, Montana. She worked in Glacier National Park the following summer and then spent two years ski-bumming around Breckenridge, Colorado, before finally returning to Bozeman in 2014. Prior to her new position, she wrote advertising copy for the Bozeman Daily Chronicle and worked at Montana Conservation Corps. While at MCC, Hannah cut her teeth on trail work during a special project in partnership with GVLT: the Painted Hills Connector trail. In November 2018, Hannah's fiancé proposed to her on top of Peets Hill, solidifying Burke Park as one of her favorite places in the city. Magic moments can happen on local trails, and Hannah couldn't be happier to put her skills to use at an organization that aims to conserve valuable natural resources and develop safe spaces for people to frolic outside. When Hannah isn't at GVLT, you can find her hiking, skiing, mountain biking, playing with her two little dogs, or serving on Verge Theater's Board of Directors.
