Camila Darvin (2)

Big Sky Watershed Corps Service Member

“During my 2024 term of service, I hope to benefit our community and serve our trail-loving family.”

Camila Darvin is excited to join the Gallatin Valley Land Trust as the 2024 Big Sky Watershed Corps Member. Camila recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin, earning a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology with a minor in Studio Art. Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, she grew up surrounded by water and has always been passionate about protecting our natural waterways. Having never been out West, she has always harbored a curiosity about the “Last Best Place.” Prior to this position, Camila served as a crew member on a trail team with the Maine Conservation Corps where she honed her trail-building skills and understanding of sustainable trails. Wanting to continue to build upon her passion for the natural world and her new-found trail skills, she found a place with GVLT. Along with the opportunity to assist in the conservation of our natural landscape, Camila is also looking forward to forming ties with the local community around Gallatin Valley. Camila is in awe of all the new landscapes there are to explore in the area and can’t wait to get started. When not on the trails, she loves to read, bake, go on road trips, and do anything art-related, especially printmaking!
