Sponsor, Volunteer, Lead: Summer 2019 Engagement Opportunities
While summer may feel like years away, we know that in just a few short months we’ll be enjoying long warm days on the trails. We’re busy planning fun summer activities and are currently seeking businesses and volunteers who want to partner to sponsor events, lead Discovery Walks, and volunteer on the trails. Here’s a list of some of the ways your business or you individually can contribute:
Sponsor Summer Trails Challenge or Evening on the Land
These are two of our most popular summer events, engaging well over 2,000 people who want to protect and celebrate the place we love. Sponsorship levels vary and include recognition benefits for your business. With a sponsorship, you can not only support the work of GVLT, but share your business with other like minded individuals. Contact Laura Prindville, laura@gvlt.org, to learn about our event sponsorships. Visit our events calendar to learn more about each event.
Volunteer on the Trails with Your Business
We’re already scheduling businesses who want to take a morning or afternoon to volunteer as a group on the trails. Many businesses volunteer with GVLT as a team building exercise and an opportunity to get outside and give back together. We have a variety of projects and would love to work with your team! Email Anna Floyd, anna@gvlt.org to schedule your volunteer workday.
Lead a Discovery Walk
Individual volunteers, organizations and businesses share their expertise and knowledge on a variety of topics with the community through our Discovery Walks program. In May and June we host over 35 free, guided trail walks that introduce community members to an interesting topic or activity and help them explore new trails. We’re now accepting ideas for new walks to host in 2019. Walk topics have included children’s activities, natural history, wildflower identification, bird watching, yoga, health tips and more. Please email EJ Porth, ej@gvlt.org, if you or your organization is interested in leading a walk.
