“I am deeply inspired by the legacy of community conservation work in one of the most ecologically valuable and agriculturally significant parts of the world. I eagerly look forward to being a part of the future of this important work.”
Kevin joined GVLT in April 2023 with a strong background in private land stewardship and a passion for the outdoors. Prior to joining GVLT, Kevin worked as a land steward with The Nature Conservancy for five years, managing privately protected lands in the Laramie Foothills region of northern Colorado and on the McCloud River in northern California. He grew up in dairy country in southern Wisconsin, which sparked a passion for supporting conservation and agricultural heritage on working landscapes. Kevin graduated in 2013 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in zoology. His winding career path in conservation has seen him supporting field research in Hawaii, Texas, and Australia, and guiding naturalist tours in southeast Alaska and, most recently, Yellowstone National Park. In his spare time, he can be found exploring the lands and waters of Montana that inspire him daily with Violet, his bird dog.
