Trail History

After Gallatin County secured these incredible 87 acres of open space, GVLT made sure to pitch in. We designed the trails and added connectors that tie the park to our growing network of trails on Bozeman’s west side. GVLT also raised money to install two new climbing boulders near the Dinosaur Playground, bringing the total number of trailside climbing boulders to six. These boulders help expand the experience of using our trails, and we have been a partner in all of them, making sure they include challenges for people of all ages and abilities. The regional park is also a destination along GVLT’s Raptor Route, a bike and pedestrian corridor that will ultimately extend east-west through Bozeman, from the Gallatin River to the College M.
