WHEN: May 8, 2025
TIME: 4:00-6:00 PM
As the snow melts and spring arrives in Bozeman, winter’s secrets are unveiled—piles upon piles of dog poop! While we love our furry friends, we sometimes miss where our dogs do their duty. To get the season off to a good start and do our part, GVLT, the Gallatin Watershed Council, and Outside Kind are again banding together to host the Bozeman Dog Poop Cleanup. We hope you’ll join us in scooping dog poop at our favorite trails and parks before the busy recreation season begins and spring showers wash harmful nutrients into our local rivers and streams. All participants will be entered into a raffle for prizes donated by our event sponsors, Bridger Animal Nutrition and Bozeman Running Company. Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome!
This year’s sites include:
Drinking Horse Trail/College M Trail
Gallatin County Regional Park
Peets Hill/Gallagator Trail
Sourdough Canyon
Team leaders will pick up dog poop cleanup materials (scoopers, trash bags, buckets) for their team from our office at 212 S. Wallace Ave #101 during the week of the event. Team members will meet up with their team leader at their chosen location and get to scoopin' at 4 p.m. You’ll receive a follow-up email with additional event information closer to the event date.
*In case of snow, the event will be rescheduled to Tuesday, May 13, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
