Spring/Summer Discovery Walks
May – June
Discovery Walks are back! Are you looking for fun, educational outdoor activities that will help get you better acquainted with your Bozeman trails and neighbors? Discovery Walks are for you! These one-hour, guided walks will help you discover the 90+ miles of trail on the Main Street to the Mountains trail system. Each walk takes place at a different trail or park, and features a different theme.

Join us for an educational walk focused on uncovering the ecological role of humans within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. We will explore the identification, foraging, and caretaking of wild edible and medicinal plants, as well as the intersections of culture and conservation.

The amenity trap

Join us for a solution-focused evening to learn what an Amenity Trap economy is and how other communities are approaching the growth-based challenges they create.

Raising money for GVLT is simple! Log your miles on the trail to help match our Trails Challenge fund from local businesses. 1 mile=$1 to support GVLT’s work to expand the Main Street to the Mountains trail system.

National Trails Day
June 4, 2022
Want to get your hands dirty? Grab a shovel and volunteer for National Trails Day. Every year on the first Saturday in June, hundreds of community members join GVLT for a morning of work to maintain or build our community trails. This event is free and open to the public.

Main Street to the Mountains Ride
July 2022
Celebrate summer and trails with GVLT’s NextGen Advisory Board. Join us on a bike ride followed by free bbq, beer, and music.
