“Assisting landowners plan for their future, conserving Montana’s treasured landscapes and natural resources, and building strong communities together is what excites me most about joining the GVLT team.”
Crystal joined us in 2022. Her many years of working with private landowners in this area and across the state, a vast natural resource background, and a deep commitment to land conservation contribute to her effectiveness at GVLT. Crystal previously worked for the Big Sky Fire Department as their Community Risk Reduction Coordinator, the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation in a couple of capacities focused on forest stewardship and wildfire preparedness, and the Gallatin County Montana State University Extension as their Natural Resource Agent. Crystal has a Master of Public Administration from Montana State University and a Bachelor of Science in recreation management from the University of Montana. Crystal grew up in Sidney, Montana, has family roots in Nebraska, and met her husband Josh when she moved to Belgrade in 2007. Both are happily raising their Aussie/golden dog, Kimber. Crystal loves anything outdoors, especially long-distance trail running. When she's not on the trail, you can find Crystal working on home and yard projects, napping, spending time with family, and exploring rural Montana.
