“The Gallatin Valley is the greatest place on earth. I would like to help GVLT protect what we can for generations to come.”

Mike started and ran multiple outdoor companies in the Gallatin valley over the past 30 years. He sold his businesses in 2015 to spend more time with his wife Becky, and their two teenage daughters Katie, and Meg. He now splits his work week between being a part time consultant for Black Gold Archery, and working on their Gallatin valley ranch. The ranch sits on the banks of the West Gallatin and is in a conservation easement with GVLT. The property has undergone an extensive transformation through native shrub plantings, wetland creation, stream reclamation, weed control, and strategic grazing. Mike got his engineering degree from Montana State University in 1983. He is a third generation Montanan with a passion for hunting, fly fishing, hiking, biking, and anything else that keeps him outside.
