“Stewarding trails with GVLT is my way of giving back to the natural resources that I use for my own benefit every day.”

Ainsley is originally from the Chicagoland area. As a Montana State University alumna, Ainsley is excited to serve southwest Montana as GVLT’s Big Sky Watershed Corps member. She graduated from MSU with a bachelor’s in environmental studies and a minor in Hispanic studies, and her academic passions included ecology, natural resource management, and natural resource policy. She also studied abroad in Chile, focusing on the Spanish language and Chilean socioeconomics and culture. She previously served as a Montana Conservation Corps Conservation Fellow with the U.S. Forest Service in Livingston. With their developed recreation team, she improved frontcountry cabins and campsites, performed surveys on grazing allotments, and staffed the front desk. Ainsley loves to hike to alpine lakes, sport climb (although she’s scared of heights,) ride horses, and foster animals that come her way. She spends most of her time cuddling her “foster fail” cat, Bear.
